NACM East Tennessee is offering the Business Credit Principles class in Knoxville this spring. The course is designed to provide students with a better understanding of the tools and procedures necessary for an effective and efficient credit department! It will run from April 6th through June 29th and will be instructed by Angela Duncan, CCE, a certified instructor of the National Institute of Credit (NIC). This is a great course for both the novice and the seasoned credit manager.

Credit Business Associate (CBA) is an academic-based designation signifying mastery of three credit-related disciplines: basic financial accounting, business credit principles and introductory financial statement analysis. There is no minimum work experience requirement for this designation. The necessary course work may be completed through colleges and universities, the CAP program, self-study or nationally-sponsored programs.

Credit Business Fellow (CBF) is an academic-based and Career Roadmap designation that demonstrates knowledge and experience in business credit. The CBF demands competence in the essentials of finance and financial statement analysis, business management and business & credit law. The CBA designation is a prerequisite. Applicants must have a minimum of five years work experience in credit or finance and must have accumulated 75 Career Roadmap points. Candidates must pass the CBF designation proficiency exam to be credentialed.

Certified Credit Executive (CCE) is NACM's highest designation, endorsing its achievers as capable of managing credit at an executive level. Candidates must have ten years of related work experience and must have accumulated 125 Career Roadmap points. Candidates must pass a rigorous four hour exam that tests application skills in accounting, finance, domestic and international credit concepts, management and law. CCE's are required to recertify every three years until the age of sixty, further demonstrating their commitment to continuing education, self-improvement and advancement of the business credit profession.
